It's Only Natural

Does the excuse of being "natural" make something inherently "right"? Or, the oft-used, "I was born that way."

Giving away all of my money would be very unnatural, and yet, it is arguably a very good thing.

Lying is very natural, and yet it is wrong.

So just to let you know I think it is natural for men to think that 8 year old girls are attractive and should be able to marry them (if they have already reached menarche). it is just natural for me to like a women regardless of the age and want to have sex with her.

I think you're confusing "natural" with moral. Being biologically/anatomically capable of doing something can be called natural. Biology is not dictated by morality, which is separate, an invention of the human intellect.

that's actually the point of the post, seth. The idea that just because I have "natural" tendencies doesn't automatically make that "moral".
