Made it possible if the black and brown children of the doctor or lawyer next door speak and act and dress like their white neighbors. Unfortunately, otherwise it seems like we still have a ways to go. No doubt about it, though, the Cosby's (and now the Obama's) definitely brought us closer to the goal.

I definitely think it's the speaking. 'cause some of those sweaters Bill wore were from a different planet.

But, yes. You watched the Cosby Show, and it felt like you could fit in with that family. Maybe even more so than in your own.

So, something goes off in your head that it must not be the color that makes people different.
