So, we all hate the idea of sweat shops, right? The poor conditions. Horrible pay, etc. So, we all decide to buy solely American-made products.
What happens to those workers?
This is not a life update. This is a place where people are free to think.

Maybe the countries housing these sweat shops will wake up and change the laws appropriately.
the question was, what happens to those workers?
they're out of jobs.
i'm really disappointed this post didn't get a bigger response. because this wasn't one where I was fishing for an answer I'd already thought of. I'm legitimately curious.
I guess they'd just have to move on, which would probably be better for many in the long run, but probably pretty awful even deadly for many in the short term.
or maybe their employers would be forced to treat their workers with respect and a living wage. otherwise those companies will die. in effect, the companies who use slave labor will have no other option but to not.

right, so increased competition in those countries is truly the best way to alleviate worker suffering. buying american just makes the suffering workers unemployed.
