Sleigh Track Logic: Healing?

Why don't we WANT to believe the stuff shown in this video is true?

I understand how non-believers find the miraculous simply impossible. But, even Christians who think this stuff USED to happen all the time, and not just by Jesus, but by every dude who hung out with him, don't think stuff like this can happen anymore. Why not?

In Luke 5 Jesus is talking to the crowds next to a lake and uses Simon Peters boat to move out onto the water to speak to the masses. When he is done he commands Simon and his partners to go out into the water and fish, after they already had an unfruitful day. When they do go out they start pulling up so many fish that their nets begin to break and they almost sink two fishing boats, this is Simon Peters reaction...

8When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

I think one of the reasons we tend not to believe it when miraculous things like this happen is that we dont want to have to encounter the power that comes along with something like this truly happening. It's really easy to go along with life and live it the way we want to when we arent face to face with the gracious power of God and what he can do. For those that are non-believers/agnostics, its also really tough to deny the existence/power/awesomeness of a supreme being when he is doing amazing work in our lives and the lives of those around us. So I think we try to keep an arms length from these events and deny that they are happening, because it is scary to think about what your inevitable reaction has to be if this happens, just like the guy at the end of the video...what other choice do you have?
