In 1926, it started as Negro History Week. Since then, it's grown to become Black History Month. When will we stop separating black America's achievements from our country's history? This is what I have been trying to say all along. The same goes for all the other months. Can we not just celebrate what happened in our country as history since it is just that? Breaking it up makes the separation physical. At the end of February can we talk about accomplishments of people that are black? Do we have to wait until Feb for this?
