The World is a Thimble

Last August, weeks before an episode had even aired, a couple of friends and I started a podcast about the ABC show, FlashForward. This first to market strategy paid off.

It caught the attention of one of the lead writers on the show, Quinton Peeples, who has been a source and friend ever since. And since then, he has been promoted to co-producer. Now, we chat routinely with him as well as the show's Executive Producer, Jessika Borsickzy.

Early on in our show's history, Iain Mackinnon called in one week with some thoughts from Scotland. Loved his voice. Loved his enthusiasm. Loved his insights. So he became a weekly contributor on the show.

Last week, they introduced a new character on the show... Ian McKinnon.

This is what living in the 21st century is like. It's wild. It's crazy. And it's all about who you know. And yes I'm jealous, but I've been told I'm getting a shout-out in episode 20. I'll keep you posted.

They're introducing a character named "Sunshine"?

Fiona, you don't happen to be our long-time missing friend, JMC, do you?

Jarrett, I'm hoping I get to kill the main character.

Awesome! Keep us posted. We watched the first go-round. Couldn't understand why they pulled it. Didn't start watching again when it came back. Don't pull episodic drama for months at a time and suddenly re-start it! Where's the momentum?? Who ARE these network idiots? They must be Republicans! But I digress....we will watch any episode that has a shout out to you.

Liz, you don't know what you're missing. It's gotten twice as good since it came back. I highly recommend catching up on hulu.com. It's pay-off after pay-off this 2nd half of the season. Suspense City!

If they cast Paul Bettany, that's definitely your shout-out.

Something called the Olsen effect where predictions/flash forward will always come true because you saw them.

Eric Olsen said...

I'll take them both, Emily and Sean!

Sean, shouldn't the Olsen effect be when a person forgets the experiences in their flash forward, so they just make up something to tell people.

Sorry Eric, I couldn't resist.

Eric Olsen said...

BOO! ....yeah, you're right, though.

Not just make up something but adopt someone else's flash forward as their own and believe without a doubt that this is what they did see

if i will it, it is no dream.
