Our 1000th Post!!!

On June 18th, 2006, we began this journey together. Less than 4 years later, we have provoked each other to thought 1,000 times.

I'm a lot smarter now than I was then (just read some of my early posts), and with your help, I'll be a lot smarter in 4 years than I am now.

Thank you for pushing us all to think in ways that don't come naturally to us. With your continued help, we'll only be as dumb as the very smartest people around us.

"The truth shall out-ring what is loud."

We all like to ride the high of intellectuality. It certainly takes us where we want to go. But we do have to beware that reality doesn't infringe.

continue that thought Suzzy. I'm curious what you're getting at.

Our mission here is not to become smarter for the sake of being smarter, but become smarter so that we live differently.

You helped remind of that :) Thanks!

For me intelligence is the ability to accumulate vast amounts of surface knowledge. But it isn't limited to ideas. Being able to repair an automobile requires a lot of intelligence.
Intelligence has to materialize or it isn't worth much. As you probably suspect, I am not an intellectual. But you are very opened minded and I think that's great.

i'm completely on board with all your thoughts, and it's something that I have to be on-guard against. 'cause I can often get caught in wanting to "ride the high of intellectuality" forgetting that the point is transformation.
